You’re welcome! My motive wasn’t really about the election, more “best practices” — it’s a precedent that is very important to stop. Elected officials shouldn’t mis-use their reputation (and our country’s) to raise lots of money and do little good with it. President Carter has set the best example so far and maybe I’ll do some articles about how the Carter Center is effective and well-operated. Fact one about Carter Center that shows good operations? Their finances and personnel/hiring are conducted together with Emory University. So there is automatic oversight and good policies right there.
