You have not listened to the blues or jazz? Or seen clothing designed by US designers? Eaten soul food or barbecue or smoked wild salmon?

When my father moved from Hell's Kitchen in NYC to Hollywood CA in the mid-1920s, noises woke him and his twin brother up early in the morning. They looked out of their window to the alley by their small apartment and saw Laurel & Hardy making a movie.

It's good that Korean pop culture is becoming so popular. And, I enjoyed reading about "deep culture" and all the information you provided. Taylor Swift does write her own songs and I always will admire any artist that does that ... but Taylor is not Buddy Guy or Muddy Waters. Films may stink pretty bad these days but there are also great films and stars throughout the entire film history.

Don't take that away from the real U.S. culture.
