Wow Daryl, how kind you are to mention your student David Ash. The Down Syndrome Assn. people told me that Down Syndrome people often read as early as other children and had great imaginations.

What a difference in listening with one's head vs the heart, but I think the person that was scared away just might have not been ready. I'm learning these lessons day by day, like I am much more willing to let people go their own way now because I realize everyone is at different stages, coming from different perspectives.
