What If AI Writes And Draws Everything From Now On?
Or: how much time and money goes into AI, how little into living humans, from babies to the elderly — let’s not mention other forms of life
According to Edward Saatchi, CEO of Fable Studio, which used GPT-3 to “power virtual beings,” including one called Lucy, which was created as part of some show I never saw (and am highly unlikely to see) by Neil Gaiman and some other dude, “We’re excited to combine an artist’s vision, AI, and emotional intelligence to create powerful narratives.”
I don’t think this is the same Lucy AI that powers vacuum cleaners or the one that powers “Knowledge management” systems. I also don’t think it’s the one from the semi-horror sci fi flick Lucy, starring Scarlett Johansson. Pretty sure it’s not Lucy the early human.
So now they say that these chatbots are so sophisticated they can produce reams of “content” barely distinguishable from that produced by humans.
I skimmed approximately 2,000 words written by a semipro writer on Facebook. He was shivering with excitement about the potential of AI…
