We've heard some heinous talk after moving here. However, Florida isn't the "Deep South." And the "Deep South" is not the exclusive home of racism in this nation. Everywhere, the entire structure is racist. Up down back forth EVERYWHERE. The only nonwhite people who live in Malibu are privileged and usually in the entertainment industry. I know S. LA and downtown so - my only objection to what you have written is somehow the idea that this type of talk and behavior is exclusive to "The Deep South." It is not. Westside Los Angeles is almost 100% white and just because they know better than to yell the "N-word" doesn't mean they are not brutally racist. Who cleans their toilets, eh?
