I remember when Saturday Night Live first came on. I was in 9th grade and I thought Gilda Radner was the coolest girl on the planet.

I laughed at John Belushi’s wild antics and thought Dan Ackroyd was a little bit cute. Bill Murray, not so much.

Now John and Gilda are long gone.

Different reasons.

Dan Ackroyd … well … JFC and Bill Murray? OY.

And Garrett Morris should be a multimillionaire. He told Hollywood Reporter last year that when it comes to comedy, “everybody just needs to relax.”

I just saw that the “new cast” of SNL SEASON 48 has been announced. I know this is going to sound weird but my hopes for them eliciting any laughs from the public are very slim — maybe zero.

My daughter wants to do standup comedy. I don’t know many of the young comedians but if Nicole Byer isn’t on SNL then I don’t really think there’s too much worthwhile going on there.

When I was chewing Dubble Bubble and glazing my lips with my prized Dr. Pepper Lipsmacker, wandering around the halls in my horseshoe-ass skintight Candies yellow jeans, SNL was…
