When Bruce and I started doing country songs, I was hesitant to try “Stand By Your Man” by Tammy Wynette. Tammy Wynette and Loretta Lynn were part of my growing up. These beautiful women were intimidating in their talent and perfection. At the time, I thought Tammy’s famous song “Stand By Your Man” was an encouragement for a good princess to support her handsome prince.
