One of my most-read articles says something very similar to you, Rosalyn, from my perspective as somebody who is somewhat in Madonna's age range. I was pretty young when she came out, and according to her official stats, she's supposedly only 4 years older than me. I also even do business consulting work for clients in the cosmetic surgery, aesthetics, cosmetics, and fashion industries. I got plenty of flame comments on my article from diehard Madonna fans or just general "all celebrities can do no wrong" people. As somebody getting older, I work on my appearance and health at the same time. And, what I wrote, was in the spring of this year when Madonna did those weird Instagram videos with braids that looked like she got a Pippi Longstocking wig from Party Plus (least flattering possible hairstyle for her). Then she was at Coachella in a limo with her legs spread, a glass of whisky or similar, and everyone else maybe 1/4 her age. And then I listened to some of her recent songs. She has always been known for being a really smart, creative person who invented her image. I don't think she looks good, she looks very strange and artificial, just as you say. And her music isn't anything like what it used to be either. It's just copies of other pop artists who are out right now, and maybe even they aren't very good, so copies of them are worse than that. Not a good situation, and it's sad because she's been really an idol for a long time, maybe even a role model. Sad she feels this is what she needs to do or that she wants to do this, look this way, act this way, and make this music.
