No , and I’m not even going to say “unfortunately” — I do not think she would have defended Monica Lewinsky, had the situation been, say, George H.W. Bush and these accusations coming forward. She would have found some way to politically attack him, but not ever aid Ms Lewinsky. I do not recall a time when she has ever done more than repeat rote statements about “a woman’s right to choose” and “equal pay.” She says whatever is politically expedient. Yes — we can certainly do better than she.

When I learned of this (I hadn’t heard before the other day) I thought “Now isn’t that special?” Now I am glad I lost out on a Rhodes Scholarship because I was raped by a named chair of Literature, barely graduating from college with my bachelors degrees. At the time, I didn’t know who Cecil Rhodes was. I consider it karmically accurate that Bill Clinton was a Rhodes Scholar.

There is huge karma here. If she is elected it will not be as she has wished for so long. That I feel in my bones. I just do not want yet more others to be harmed in the process. We must strive to do better. All we can do is try.
