My husband and I are both from urban areas (East & West Coast) and we play music here in SW Florida where we've moved. Many ppl here are from the upper Midwest or wealthier east coast areas - so called "snowbirds." Often when we play at venues where they're prevalent, the extreme immature and abusive behavior is obvious. It's also something neither of us experienced growing up because we attended integrated schools and never were in 100% white environments. Most of the time we were whites in the minority. We learned to get along and respect others like decent human beings. Like if someone's child was hurt by the cops, we did not blame that person or child, we knew abt police brutality. Both my brothers were beaten by cops. Like you say, this group is obviously unable to get along and interact normally with others and their offensive behavior starts with the racism and it does go on from there.
