My grandfather was somewhat like that. But unlike Virgil Earp he never fired his weapon as Sheriff. He was intelligent, kind and respected and loved by all. I’m not sure any of the Earp Brothers were good men like him. They were from a much earlier time. TV isn’t real life! But interesting to watch - a glimpse in a different world. Quiet men who aren’t loudmouthed braggers are everywhere.
