Leslie, look up the way things are NOW and policies passed by federal, state, and local administrations since industrialized food began in the early 20th century - long before Nixon. The government didn't start this, the food giants did. They did it for money. All government officials have done what is requested of them at every step along the way. All, 100%, way more than just Nixon, every single one of them, him included and in addition to Nixon. You are very lacking in information about the food system if you feel this one period of time and these policies are the only reasons we're eating toxic addictive junk. The "My Plate" food system that includes mostly processed foods is just a modified version of the "Food Pyramid." None of these things had to do with Nixon, nor are any people who have been dead 3 decades currently responsible. We, today, are responsible. As individuals we can only take action for ourselves.
