Kaia, I’m so glad to hear that you and his Dad are working with him to improve the situation. He is so young, it’s amazing he would already be picking up on these behaviors and attitudes. When people are like this (not just men of course, because it is the Western way/culture) they miss out on so much. Bless you both for working with him, he will have a happy life! And bless his sister for hanging in there with him! I wouldn’t allow this type of thing in my classroom and after 2–3 weeks, every student ended up being very comfortable, learning a lot, and advancing their skills and knowledge. Instead of it being conflict, many feeling silenced, and not expressing themselves — learning shut down.
