It's a pattern with her. The crimes Bill Cosby was convicted of (and overturned on a technicality) were very similar. And this Holocaust thing - she was making statements that made it sound like it was the fault of Jewish and others who were killed/lives ruined. It's defense of and obedience to power and "color" and "race" I think only has to do with it in the sense that Whoopi really does go along with those in control. So we can only think, this is what they think - Polanski wasn't real rape, Holocaust was a "fight" etc. It's horrific about Polanski's crimes, and that people accept this, he is living free, etc.
