It truly amazes me how vehement many "White" US (and EU) people are that race not be discussed. Not discussing it at all means you are denying others' existence. Race should not be used to harm others. It is what it is - and in the future, we have no way to know what will develop or how people will choose to interact with each other. But to say "what if there's NO race" yes of course, if that ceases to become anything people would refer to, fine - but that's far from the case right now.
