Is Cannabis Behind the “Great Resignation”?
Could medical marijuana be driving the real “Great Reset”?

Last week I wrote about the “Great Resignation” and reasons behind it: low job satisfaction, poor job treatment, low pay, bad managers, and lack of consideration for employees.
Why should people go to work at a place where they are little-valued, and more important: why should they stay in a job they hate for low pay, especially when odds are, they’ll be terminated before reaching retirement, their 401K made worthless.
It’s a no-brainer. People are waking up to the fact they have choices in their lives and those choices don’t have to include spending decades in soul-killing or physically demanding jobs for low pay with no job security and no retirement benefits.

In my role (paid — yes, way better than Medium lol) as a business consultant, I’ve worked with a number of new and established cannabis industry businesses. At that same time I started that work, I received assignments to write about the opioid epidemic. I have written five nonfiction books and several articles about opioids.
We are living in a world where opioid medications are presented as safe and “healthy” but this is the truth: they killed over 70,000 people in 2018 and 50,000 in 2019.
I’ve never been fond of Big Pharma but until I researched and wrote these books and articles, I didn’t realize how absolutely insane, reckless, greedy, and full of disinformation the prescription medicine business is. There is a new PBS Nova show about cannabis and I watched it last week and said to Bruce, “Well, we’re about 20 minutes in — it’s time for them to start the warning segment of the show.” I missed only by about 30 seconds or so. Soon began a long segment about how cannabis can damage teen brains, and interview after interview with damaged, regretful teens. I’m sure that comprised the rest of the show. The first half of the show briefly…
