I'm glad you wrote this Kaylin, and I was shocked to see the numbers in UK are even worse than those in the US. In the US, one out of every 5 girls & women and 1 out of every 25 boys & men will be sexually assaulted as a child or adult. 20 out of every 1,000 rapes is successfully prosecuted, and I believe of those, only 5 ever end up serving any time in jail or prison.

One major contributing factor to all of it is the rape/sexual assault bystanders and enablers. Rapists often (maybe 100% of them) commit multiple crimes. They are enabled in their crimes by people who excuse, protect, and cover up for them. These enablers usually work for institutions, whether churches, schools, colleges, universities, or major businesses - or the military. There is an initiative to criminalize this behavior.
