I worked for nonprofits helping homeless and very low income people for over 15 yrs of my working life. This lady was not "needy" she had a job and Ruby outlined exactly how she did her work, and achieved the results desired. This was someone who fit the criteria of need, but unlike those in true need, had means to do for herself and chose not to do so as long as she received resources from Ruby and the other church members. Actual needy people suffer in silence and are reluctant to accept help much less demand it.
