I was tearing up while reading this, Deb. You have a form of empathy and caring that can only come from doing the work you did, and inside knowledge that helped save your dad. I'm glad you were able to overcome them - every patient is $$$ to those places. I have spent a lot of time there too, but never as a caregiver like you. Very truthful and painful writing.
