I think it's like spoiled little kids, Devorah. You should see Mr Mansplainer here in the comments, it's pretty spectacular. The length and extent they will go to, to impose their tastes on others is stunning. My dearest best friend is bigger and she says the same as you and her life and happy marriage and family demonstrates it is true. A big part of it is to keep women down and compliant - like a spoiled toddler tantruming for candy before dinner.
