I just learned of not just Judy's abuse that she suffered, but that she was one of the Hollywood 10. And that she was hounded by the US government for her unpaid taxes to the day she died, and that her daughter had to get help from Frank Sinatra to pay her debts after her death. I was going to write about her - and I always search Medium to see what others have written. So, like many others, she did perform in Blackface in this musical which should NEVER have included such "entertainment" and she paid by being severely ostracized and hounded by those who promote this horrific side of human behavior and evil. They are still around ... I always admired Frank Sinatra for doing what he could for racial equity. I am sure he knew what was done to Judy. I cannot believe the evil, heinous things that were done and continue to this day. Thank you for the good article, and sad to see those awful images.
