I don't like having anything to do with Goodreads myself. I hadn't heard of any of those incidents other than Cait Corrain until I read your article. I noticed something that all of the authors, from well-known Elizabeth Gilbert to all of the others, had in common. They all appear female. I basically quit writing fiction because a) I had lost interest and motivation, believing I achieved everything I wanted; b) this. I didn't want to be involved with this type of thing. I'd rather keep my personal writing to myself - this includes my novel Like Fire that I'd paid $3,700 for a professional cover and gotten cover quotes from good friends who are still publishing their work. I doubt I'm alone, it's gross to think about this type of abuse and I'm sick of it.
