I don’t Barbara Walters would have said anything remotely like it — she was from a different era and wanted to bring people together without conflict. It’s not good, and it fits Whoopi’s pattern of defending authority (male predators) against victims. I will never understand why she said “fight” at all. Whites abusing whites, attacking, etc. Fight indicates 2 sides and that is what neo-Nazis and Holocaust apologists say. It wasn’t just (and I do not care abt her skin color is race belief) the “white” part it was that she casually said “fight” like she thought Jewish people (and many others — there were millions forced into slave labor of all Euro nations Hitler conquered) and “dissidents” like people who protected Jewish people, socialists, and communists “deserved” the treatment meted out: genocide, murder, having their homes burned and everything taken. She’s just casual about it. This is promoted to keep people hating on each other, in my opinion. Whoopi wouldn’t be on that show at all if her perspective wasn’t considered essential to keeping people at each others’ throats.
