I do not support restrictive gun laws. I am saying that when there is such an extreme and growing problem where children cannot attend school for fear of being shot, and families cannot go to popular malls in upper income areas without being shot, the CORRECT RESPONSE BY EVERYONE is to seek ways to curtail the violence. I do not misunderstand the complete collapse of any shred of morality or decency amongst extreme right-wing advocates. I am a rape survivor and I know women, especially in inner city areas, need to carry weapons for personal protection, and I do NOT and never have associated gun violence on the part of deranged criminals with gun ownership by anyone who isn't included to go to a school, church, mall, or movie theater and kill large numbers of strangers. Find one word in what I wrote or have written that says "gun control laws" are needed. Stop violence action and at the minimum protect people doing normal activities - is what is needed.
