I can’t do this with any success because a) I’m female; and b) it’s probably too soon/early. http://www.chameleonpublishers.com/
The reason more people do not regularly buy and read books is that they are not presented with books they are interested in reading in market channels to which they’d respond.
As one example, I do not read James Altucher articles. I can see his name and do what I can to prevent reading them. On LinkedIn, Dr. Travis Bradberry has been humorously called “the most-read author in human history”. I don’t read Dr Travis Bradberry articles, either. I’m divesting of my 1800 remaining books except for the “shelf of honor” but I do not have that many books on my reading device or iPad. As to what I do read, when I see someone’s name I do think is a fantastic writer like Mary Roach or Jon Krakauer or Oliver Shiny I am on it. In the classroom, I try to assign students to read things of interest to them, and Dr Oliver Sacks is among the most popular.
Maybe I’ll write about my personal writing journey. I can say I’ve never put my name on something on which I did not put my best effort. I never prostituted my own work though I’ve written plenty that does not have my name on it.
