I am banned off Facebook for 4-5 more days (?) for doing absolutely nothing wrong. We use it to communicate with others here locally about our music, and me about my fitness events. George Martin's agent was my former agent. I dropped her in 2013 when I wrote a book that I know is very good, the best I could do at the time, and I wrote her telling her about it, and her response was , "Not right now dear, I'm negotiating season 6 for George." I had a group of 6 other agents that I had kept their names and information over the years - out of this group, when I queried them, only one even responded at all. Another of the group has a daughter whose name is all over today's "bestselling" fantasy books. I've always been told my work is an awkward fit with some of the "genre" conventions. This would probably be because my characters are somewhat realistic and the situations they are in, also somewhat related to actual life. Well, I am super happy now. I love my life. I do not care if people whose values I abhor - I just don't want to work with, for, or be around that type of person. In full knowledge, I am super happy.
