Hossein you know I admire you tremendously but I disagree about the decline of education.

The metrics show improved educational outcomes, not worse. The trends you identify in international news are imposed from above. It is now even difficult to access international news in non-English languages without using alternative means.

People communicate in different ways now. So while what you point out is largely valid, news of other types is accessible and there are many diverse platforms and ways of dissemination.

Most of all, our US media (and many others) treats its audience like it is stupid. I will simplify and distill what I write — but never because I think people are stupid.

This is about changing humanity. We are changing. I trust and hope — for the better.
