Hi Taryn, I should have explicitly stated what you did, regarding the "diverse" fake AI profiles, because I absolutely agree with you. Living people's voices are downgraded or isolated while fake images presenting what the owner (Zuckerberg) wants replace them ... why? To further demoralize and deceive? I am in the process of supposedly restoring my large, old account - but I'm not sure I want to. The only real use for the service is our local friend and safety groups in case of hurricanes. The small amount of money they were paying me is not important at all to me, nor desirable. It would seem the AI profiles were intended to "drive engagement" instead of even paying pennies to human creators. It's sick sick sick. I don't know if you saw the article in today's newsletter about PayPal Honey, but I removed this extension from my browser just now. I've used PayPal less and less, and would love to close it out too. The link between social media devastation of minds and hearts, digital economic exploitation, patriarchy and colonization is inescapable. I have a feeling some of this will occur naturally, as all digital media companies lie about their DAU and MAU and I bet Facebook is ... really lying. I don't know anyone who is a heavy user of such services who is not housebound/ill or elderly. I spend as little time as possible and it has always been part of my "job". It's so sad.
