You wrote clearly that you know you don’t move enough and that you are aware that you need to move. Please — look into the health results of MOVING a small number of steps frequently throughout the day. I significantly improved my cardio health by doing it. I also purchased an exercise desk because at certain times during the year, I have a job that makes me sit and work nonstop for 8, 10 or even 14–16 hours. I noticed my health deteriorating during these times and did not want it to recur this year. The exercise desk helped a lot. You’ll notice my most recent article is about that and how Fitbit works for me. The biggest health change I have ever noticed was just following Fitbit’s nagging to get up and move at least 250 steps an hour. I am active but the biggest difference was this small, hourly change, not daily workouts or slamming myself with weights.
