Hey Jaymee — let me know via message or whatever. I will give you contact numbers for the State Department of Fair Employment and Housing, and the Federal office in California responsible for administering the FLSA. As I just told my friends on a social network:
“Single mom trying her best — I was in the ER most of the weekend too and I know well what it’s like to be a single mom, struggling. No excuse for this you rich douchebag Jeremy. NONE. And labor law violation sixteen ways from Sunday. Good luck with the California Department of Fair Labor and Housing. They are just right over in Sacramento and they will enjoy doing their jobs and taking up the time of all your supervisors and every attorney you can pay. They’ll go as slow as possible and request every scrap of paper your business has. And yes, I will help Jaymee a little bit. I’ll give her the names and contact numbers for her Federal and State Labor law enforcement offices.”
You’ll hear one thing from self-entitled people lecturing others. And from me I will give what help I can. I’ve been on the other side of false labor law violation accusations. These departments are understaffed but you have described a vast number of labor law discriminatory actions. The entire sales structure at this company can easily be scrutinized and I have little confidence it is not violating numerous provisions of California State and Federal labor law. They could slow down Yelp and greatly hinder its growth.
Their job and role is to protect employees from discrimination and exploitation under the law.
