Hello Michael - please look at the jobs I have listed that Chairman Powell could do for minimum wage. Cooks and individuals sewing clothing could fit into your "productivity" description, but how is "productivity" to be measured in those who care for young children or the elderly and disabled? I am a business development consultant and not only do I receive daily industry news from a variety of sectors (from Becker's Hospital Review and Medical news today to NAREIT real estate trust news and the Cannabis publications) - what is productivity when it comes to people who are providing essential human services? Maybe someone cleaning floors can clean faster, or there are many robots - we have a robot floor cleaner for example. But a caregiver? Are they more productive when caring for dozens more people? That's what the hospital chains and insurers think. They do not consider the healthcare provider AT ALL. Why would those we entrust the care of vulnerable children and dependent elderly to be the lowest paid, poorest treated of all? A society isn't about just money but when those who care ONLY about money are in charge? We see the results, all around. It's disgusting. We need people to do basic, essential jobs but the society and the so-called market? They are told and shown daily they are worthless. So why should they care? NoBoDy wANtS tO wORk aNY mOrE.
