Greg, these are all true statements. Until or unless a person experiences it, they have no idea how hard it is to struggle to get by and meet basic needs. Like you working in the kitchen to get a meal, which people will offer - and good people will give opportunities. But others? They will slam the door as you say - animosity instead of empathy and kindness.
