I often consult the Gallup organization’s surveys and information in the course of my business development work. They are a global organization and have deep research into management issues and broad socio-economic trends.

I got an ad this morning from them asking me to buy a book called Blind Spot written by the company’s CEO Jon Clifton. The book’s subtitle is: “The global rise of unhappiness and how leaders missed it.”

Chart from Gallup’s book Blind Spot

I’m sure the majority of the information in Gallup’s book is true.

Look at one of the endorsements for the book from a Harvard leadership expert:

I’ve been thinking for days about writing about what it would mean to be a genuine female leader.

Or, maybe I put that wrong. What it would mean to be a woman who was a genuine leader.
