For some reason this amazing platform chose to show me this today. My husband (68) has been laid off several times and was able to make it into other jobs. Even though he's applying to jobs right now as I type, I don't want him to try. We were able to move to SW Florida at the end of Mar 2020 (yes during COVID, yes, I wrote abt driving cross-country and took pictures). I'm awfully sorry to hear about this, Ruby - and hope your husband and family are doing okay.

There is no way that "employment culture" can continue as it has been. There is absolutely no reason for anyone to work as hard as your husband did in return for the treatment he was given. This is merely part of the hundreds of thousands of similar instances. There is no good future for anyone when our culture not only allows, but praises this. And only we the people can end it.
