Are The End Times Upon Us And If Not, Why Do So Many People Believe?
Christian eschatology (“end times”) beliefs have been around for 2,000 years yet most do not exist in The Bible
I have friends who believe that the end times are close. Evangelical Christians led by Pat Robertson have heard that the 2022 Russian invasion of Ukraine is a sign that the “end times” are here and that Christ will be returning very soon. He even credits aggressive invader Vladimir Putin with … apparently … “doing God’s work.”
Yeaaaahhhh. Um. Far be it from me to say but that seems a little less likely than Putin is just an aggressive invader acting of his own accord.
Being an evangelical Christian can mean Christians who evangelize, or approach others about their Christian beliefs regardless of interest, politeness, or common sense. Evangelical Christians also sometimes refer to themselves as “Bible-based” Christians. The term “Bible-based” is used by contemporary Christians to indicate that their church derives its beliefs from the words written in The Bible.
