Alec Baldwin: Never Point A Gun At Someone Unless You Intend To Use It

Safety on set came out second to money, fame, and entitlement

I can make this very simple, the way my grandfather taught me when showing me his weapons, how to clean them, how to care for them, how to safely store them, and how to safely use them. “Never point a gun at someone until or unless you intend to use it.”

The current headline in the tragic “Rust” film set shooting death of cinematographer Halyna Hutchins is “Baldwin did not know gun was loaded.” That’s immaterial. Why was he pointing it in the direction of the crew in the first place? And so many other problems leading up to the fatal moment.

Right now there are dozens of fake astroturf accounts out there insisting Baldwin is “innocent until proven guilty” of Hutchins’ death and the shooting injury of “Rust” director Joel Souza.

Yet enough is already known about the gun discharge to place blame for the incident on negligence of Baldwin and his fellow producers of the low-budget Western. IATSE union film crew members had already written resignation letters and walked off the set of Baldwin’s film before the incident due to serious safety problems and a lack of regard for their well-being.
