Actually, Buster, looking at what is in my feed, it's hard not to think that some people got "invites" to the program because they are "branded subject matter experts" or whatever their marketing sales funnel is. I just saw this article in my feed and clicked -

https://medium.com/@dariusforoux

So this man has 250K "followers" but it looks like his work has "engagement" a lot less than mine with far fewer "followers," whose primary engagement comes from BRINGING HUMANS TO THIS PLATFORM instead of relying upon "views" provided by my pals in the Bay Area.

How does someone who is giving information on the level of Foroux acquire 250K "followers"? Where does that come from? I do not believe that first-grade level "content" like what I just read is "desirable" by everyone who would pay for a Medium subscription. I know you won't look at anything I have written but - I hope you understand where I am coming from. The message is loud and clear.

As a genuine business development consultant and a female who - if I were male - would clearly be identified as a "futurist" and be able to go on high ticket cruises and give speeches etc. - I'm not seeing good things via Medium. I'm seeing the opposite. Sure to see Henry Kissinger and Elon Musk top of page 1 - maybe even Hillary Clinton! Can't wait!!!!
